Today is a beautiful day at Medford, Oregon. At my annual summer institute for Oregon Online the question was asked "What does it mean to have a 21st Century Skills?"
21st Century Skills:
- You need to be able to use an email account.
- You need to be able to send and receive text messages by cell phone or online.
- You need to be able to make a web page.
- You need to be able to use a word processor.
- You need to be able to use a spread sheet.
- You need to be able to make a power point presentation.
- You need to be able to make new accounts and track login names and passwords.
- You need to know a little bit of html.
- You need to be able to adapt because all of the programs listed are going to change next week to something new.
What do you think?

Jason, Thanks for putting some specific examples of technology/ skills. It is a good list. I especially like you added html skills as well.
Jason, I am thinking that teaching "letter" writing 101 may become a thing of the past. But I have found that letters written by those who have passed on to be priceless.
Will the archives of the future be multi-media dvd's?
